How Much Does Gutter Installation Cost in Beaumont & Port Arthur, TX?

Real numbers from a local contractor — not national averages that don't reflect what you'll actually pay in Southeast Texas.

Why National Averages Don't Help You

If you've searched for gutter installation costs online, you've probably seen numbers like "$1,000–$5,000" or "$3–$30 per linear foot." That range is so wide it's almost useless. National averages blend together prices from New York City, rural Montana, and everywhere in between.

Here's what gutter installation actually costs in Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, and the surrounding Southeast Texas area based on the jobs we do every week.

Southeast Texas Gutter Pricing

ServiceLowHighUnit
Seamless aluminum gutters (5-inch)$4$8per linear foot installed
Seamless aluminum gutters (6-inch)$6$10per linear foot installed
Downspouts$75$150each installed
Gutter guards (micro-mesh)$8$15per linear foot installed
Full gutter replacement (avg. home)$1,200$3,500total
Gutter cleaning$150$350per visit

Prices are estimates based on typical Southeast Texas jobs. Your actual cost depends on home size, accessibility, and existing conditions.

What Affects the Final Price

1. Linear Footage

The biggest factor is simply how much gutter your home needs. A small single-story home might need 120 linear feet. A larger two-story home with a complex roofline could need 300+ feet. More footage = higher cost, but the per-foot price often goes down on larger jobs.

2. Gutter Size: 5-Inch vs. 6-Inch

Most homes in Southeast Texas should have 6-inch gutters, not the standard 5-inch. We get intense rainfall — sometimes 4–6 inches in a single storm — and 5-inch gutters simply can't handle that volume fast enough. 6-inch gutters cost a bit more but are the right call for our climate.

3. Number of Downspouts

Downspouts are priced separately. A properly installed gutter system needs a downspout every 30–40 feet of gutter run. Skimping on downspouts is a common mistake that leads to overflow and foundation problems.

4. Fascia Condition

If your fascia boards are rotted, they need to be replaced before new gutters can be installed. Hanging new gutters on rotted fascia is a waste of money — they'll pull away within a year. We always inspect the fascia before quoting and include any needed repairs in the estimate.

5. Accessibility

Two-story homes, steep rooflines, and homes with difficult access (dense landscaping, limited yard space) take longer to work on and may cost more than a straightforward single-story job.

6. Adding Gutter Guards

Adding gutter guards at the time of installation is always cheaper than adding them later. If you're already replacing gutters, it's worth pricing guards at the same time.

Seamless vs. Sectional Gutters: Which Should You Choose?

We only install seamless gutters. Sectional gutters (the kind with joints every 10 feet) are cheaper upfront but the joints are where leaks start. In Southeast Texas, where we get heavy rain and the gutters expand and contract with temperature swings, those joints fail faster than anywhere else.

Seamless gutters are fabricated on-site to the exact length needed, with no joints except at the corners and downspouts. They last longer, look better, and are worth the small price difference. Read more in our post on seamless vs. sectional gutters.
